This was a replacement for one originally purchased in 2001. The hot water valve failed, but the manufacturer has allowed no opportunity for repair, so a very expensive replacement of the entire assembly was mandated.
Perfect for a quick cup of tea.
The last Sinkerator I had produced the hot water more quickly--"instantly". This one does not.Also, it arrived without the connector to attach the tank to the faucet. My plumber had to contact the manufacturer to order a connector.
I really liked the instant hot water and filtered water when I first purchased the product. Almost from the start I had problems with leaks of the fitting at the top of the unit. The quick fit connections were impossible to get to stop leaking. Water would drip down inside the unit. I had to unplug and stop using it for fear of a shock hazzard. I used it for filtered water till recently, The cold water valve would get stuck on and there was no way to turn off. Tapping, and/or forceful hitting of the unit had no effect. I had to disconnect the supply line. I am now shopping for a water filter to instal in the hole left by this unit. I would not recommend this product to an enemy, let alone a friend.
Ive seen these in other homes but never had one in one of mine...until now. I love being able to get super hot water so quickly...for cooking to cleaning....Its now a must have item in a kitchen for me.
The family uses the product for our hot and colds beverages. It defininetly beats boiling water on the stove. Insinerators website was spot on in helping me match the finish with my Kohler faucet.I have nothing bad to say about the product. It works as intended with no hassle. Install was easy too.
We recently updated our kitchen and this dispenser adds to the overall look.The filtered water is also a big plus.
I would not have a kitchen without one!
